10th Biogas Congress coming soon. PCSS expert among speakers

This year’s edition of the event organised by the publishers of “Magazyn Biomasa” will once again attract numerous representatives of the agricultural, technology and energy sectors, who, in close cooperation with investors and public administration bodies, are shaping the future of Polish agriculture. The event will take place on 16–17 December at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Conference Centre in Warsaw and will naturally feature representatives of PCSS.

PCSS will be represented by Gerard Frankowski, MSc Eng., Head of the ICT Security Department, who on the first day of the congress will take part in Session V. His presentation will focus on cybersecurity aspects of the biogas sector in the era of hybrid warfare.

The biogas and biomass sector is playing an increasingly important role in the national economy. According to data from the National Agricultural Support Centre, there are currently almost 200 agricultural biogas plants operating in Poland. For more such plants to be built, it is necessary to simplify procedures, ensure stable regulations and provide support for investors. Education also plays a key role: well-designed information campaigns can raise public awareness, dispel myths and highlight the economic and environmental benefits brought by the development of biogas plants.

Last year’s edition of the congress was attended by 500 participants and 90 partner companies. The organisers emphasise that it is one of the most important and largest events of this kind on a European scale.
