Construction of the PUCHACZ Nationwide Research Infrastructure – Consortium Meeting at PCSS

PCSS, acting as the leader of the PUCHACZ project, hosted 100 representatives from 11 Polish research and development centers. During the two-day meeting, participants summarized progress to date and planned key stages for creating a unique, nationwide Platform for Obtaining Characteristics of Adversaries and Cyber Threats.

The PUCHACZ project (Platform for Obtaining Characteristics of Adversaries and Cyber Threats) is currently the largest initiative implemented under the FENG 2.4 program. Thanks to European Union co-financing amounting to nearly PLN 176 million, a research infrastructure of strategic importance for Polish science is being built. The venture is based on the operation of three closely linked laboratories: threat detection, gathering and standardizing threat intelligence, and interpreting the collected data using artificial intelligence algorithms.

During intensive workshops, experts in cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, CERT/SOC services, and data analysis in HPC systems and cloud infrastructures discussed the action plan for the coming months. The main objective of the work is the efficient preparation and fastest possible rollout of the platform’s services. The solutions developed within the PUCHACZ project will be dedicated to both the scientific community and commercial clients, reinforcing the defensive potential of Polish cyberspace.
