Discussing the Heriforge Project at the “Innovations, Trends, the Future of Research” Conference

“Innovations, Trends, the Future of Research. Horizon Europe and the 10th Framework Programme” was the title of the conference dedicated to the most important directions in the development of European research programs. It was organized by the Polish National Contact Point for EU Research Programmes in Warsaw on 8 and 9 October 2025. PCSS was represented during this event by Michał Kosiedowski – the Head of the Future Internet Services Department in our Center, who participated in the panel dedicated to Widening projects.

The panel focused on institutional development in the context of science management, funding within Widening projects, and the significance of such projects for institutional growth and achieving higher scientific excellence.

Michał Kosiedowski shared his experience from the implementation of the HERIFORGE project and assessed the impact of its execution on PCSS’ scientific activities. HERIFORGE is a Widening project under the Horizon Europe program, and it is coordinated by PCSS.

The main objective of the project is to develop a network of three interconnected ecosystems located in Poland, Cyprus, and Turkey. This network will provide a great research and development environment for innovation in cultural heritage and creative industries, thanks to responsible use of eXtended Reality and digital cultural heritage resources, which will be beneficial for social resilience.
