HEATWISE Project Workshops

HEATWISE Project Workshops

“Methods and tools for modeling and simulating data centers to optimize cooling and waste heat reuse” was the focus of the workshops organized as a part of the HEATWISE project. The event took place at the PCSS headquarters on 18 September 2025.

Several dozen participants who attended the workshops took the opportunity to learn about the HEATWISE project and expand their knowledge on the potential of reusing waste heat in data centers.

The discussion panel was moderated by dr hab. inż. Ariel Oleksiak (Department of Energy-Efficient ICT Technologies at PCSS) and featured: Andrzej Kuliński (Director of Energy Efficiency and Climate at VEOLIA ENERGIA POZNAŃ S.A.), Piotr Kowalski (Managing Director of the Polish Data Center Association), Radosław Górzeński (environmental engineering expert at the Poznań University of Technology), and dr inż. Radosław Januszewski (Department of New HPC Architectures at PCSS).

Participants of the workshop also had the chance to tour PCSS and admire the infrastructure of its state-of-the-art data center.
