“LIFE IN A DAY” is the motto of an unusual competition announced by YouTube. To take part in this event, simply document one day in a life of the earth. Hottest peace of work will be merged into an experimental documentary a produced by famous director – Ridley Scott.
The initiative “LIFE IN A DAY” is a historical, global experiment in which the creation of the world’s first feature-length film will be created by the combined forces of the Internet users – a document shot in one day.

YouTube users will have 24 hours to record a peace of their lives with their cameras. This film will be released at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2011 and will be available directly on YouTube. Participants whose recordings will be used in the final version of the film, will be named as its co-creators. The director of the film will be accompanied by twenty of the amateur producers at the Sundance Festival.
