Representatives of the PCSS Digital Libraries and Knowledge Platforms Department took part in Bologna in the kick-off meeting of the INFINITY project. This pioneering research and innovation initiative, funded by the Horizon Europe programme, aims to provide technological and policy support for the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH).
Within the walls of the world’s oldest university, Alma Mater Studiorum in Bologna, the project partners presented the division of tasks and the new visual identity of the initiative. The PCSS team – Aleksandra Nowak, Marcin Heliński and Paweł Marciniak – actively participated in the work of the decision-making bodies, planning activities to overcome semantic and ethical barriers in European digital collections. Work carried out under INFINITY is of key importance for creating a coherent Data Space for Cultural Heritage, bringing together modern digital solutions with Europe’s historical heritage.

On 22 January 2026, the FORT KRAKÓW – DIANA Accelerator Poland — a joint initiative of the AGH University of Krakow and the Krakow Technology Park — was officially opened. It is the first NATO accelerator for defence innovation in Poland.
