New Leadership of the Konsorcjum PIONIER Council – Artur Binczewski Appointed Chair for the 2026–2028 Term

On 18 February this year, a reporting and election meeting of the Council of the Konsorcjum PIONIER was held at the Pałac Staszica. The most important item on the agenda was the conclusion of the long-standing mission of Dr. Eng. Maciej Stroiński, who had served as Chair of the PIONIER Consortium Council. Artur Binczewski, Head of the Network Technologies Division at Poznańskie Centrum Superkomputerowo-Sieciowe (PCSS), was elected as the new Chair of the Council.

As a result of a secret ballot, a new Presidium of the Council for the 2026–2028 term was selected. The position of Chair was assumed by Artur Binczewski, MSc Eng. The newly elected Presidium also includes: Dr. Hab. Eng. Robert Suszyński, Professor of the Politechnika Koszalińska, representing the Miejska Sieć Komputerowa KosMAN (First Vice-Chair); Dr. Eng. Piotr Szefliński of MSK LODMAN (Second Vice-Chair); and Jarosław Skomiał, MSc Eng., of ICM Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego (Secretary).

Participants of the PIONIER Consortium Council meeting expressed their gratitude to the outgoing Chair of the Presidium, Dr. Eng. Maciej Stroiński, for his many years of work for the entire community and his invaluable contribution to the functioning of this unique, nationwide ecosystem.

The change in leadership marks an important moment in the history of the Consortium—continuing its mission to build modern scientific infrastructure in Poland while bringing new energy to the work of the Presidium.
