Leaving the Summer Behind
Traffic on the streets has clearly increased, the sun is already shining lower in the sky, days are getting shorter, and the morning coffee tastes different than the one enjoyed on the terrace… Returning to reality after a carefree summer can be hard but school desks and office duties are calling… To make this transition a little easier, in our newsletter we not only look back at August events, but also encourage you to join the upcoming ones!
Together with the Institute of Computer Science PAS in Warsaw, we invite you to a workshop and promotional meeting for the DARIAH-HUB project. Organized in cooperation with the Europeana Foundation and the European Commission as part of the “Twin it! Part II” campaign, the event aims to create an online 3D competence center for cultural heritage. In January 2026, a series of lectures and workshops on the use of 3D technologies is planned within the 3D-4CH project.
For those who are into combining new technologies with art, we have got another edition of the Art & Science Lab workshops held at Zwierzyniecka 20 in Poznań.
In this issue of PCSS News we also write about our international cooperation: the launch of a high-capacity connection that will strengthen partnerships between scientific institutions from Poland and Germany, with the key involvement from GÉANT, as well as the call for proposals under the HERIFORGE project, which is seeking breakthrough solutions in the field of cultural heritage and immersive technologies.
