The foundations for the future of Polish AI are being built in Poznań. Thanks to the commitment of PCSS, the region is emerging as a key technological hub, offering the infrastructure necessary to build advanced artificial intelligence systems. As the operator of the PIONIER network, the Center combines the highest security standards with unique know-how, driving a digital breakthrough in this part of Europe.

During the recent reporting and election meeting of the PIONIER Consortium Council, the Chairperson of the PCC Presidium was elected. Artur Binczewski, M. Sc. Eng., Director of the PCSS Network Technology Division, will serve in this capacity for the 2026–2028 term. The meeting also officially honored the long-standing mission of Maciej Stroiński, Ph.D. Eng., co-author of the ‘PIONIER: Polish Optical Internet – Advanced Applications, Services, and Technologies for the Information Society’ program.

Organized by specialists from the New Media Department and the Digital Libraries and Knowledge Platforms Department of PCSS, the meeting was dedicated to advanced 3D digitization techniques.

On February 5, a key meeting of the ECHOES project took place in Brussels, titled: “Towards a distributed, multi-level, collaborative governance for the Cultural Heritage Cloud.” The event brought together European policymakers, representatives of EU institutions, and experts from the cultural heritage sector. The primary goal of the meeting was to create a space for dialogue regarding the future of shared digital infrastructure in Europe.

17th World Brain Week in Poznań, took place March 16–20, 2026, in the historic interiors of Pałac Działyńskich. This was a unique opportunity to explore neuroscience mysteries during free events organized by Poznań branches of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

On March 18, Poznań became the hub of European digital heritage during the Second Annual ECHOES Project Event, hosted at PCSS with experts and decision-makers. The agenda included discussions on the future of Europe’s cultural cloud, a showcase of AI’s role via the PIAST-AI Factory, and panels with sister projects. It was a unique chance for networking and planning collaborative efforts to shape modern standards for preserving and sharing cultural treasures.

During this event dedicated to the new era of visualization, you’ll learn how 3D models and the “design by experiencing” approach are revolutionizing product and space personalization. The program includes live demonstrations of real-time 3D configurators, a lecture on hospital design, and a networking session.

Are digital archives just “photos of old documents”? At PCSS, we say a resounding “no” and are launching the INFINITY project, which proves that history and technology make the perfect duo. Digital objects are often presented in ways that don’t let us fully grasp their stories. The INFINITY project was created to change that.

We are launching the ECHOLOT project (European Cultural Heritage Optimised Linked Open Tools), aimed at building a digital bridge between European cultural institutions and a shared heritage cloud. This initiative will enable museums, archives, and libraries to share their collections in an optimized, interconnected way, making them accessible to researchers and enthusiasts worldwide. As the technical lead, PCSS is designing the system architecture to link distributed resources with global platforms like Europeana and Wikidata.

PCSS AI services, previously available only to the scientific community, have just gained commercial product status. Large companies and corporations, as well as small and medium-sized enterprises, can now use PCSS LLM language models via the API interface.
