Poznańskie Centrum Superkomputerowo-Sieciowe has joined the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (PIIT), becoming part of the most important industry organisation in Poland. This strategic step aims to strengthen synergy between the research and academic community and the leading companies in the IT and telecommunications sector. It will enhance the Center’s ability to actively shape the directions of Poland’s digital transformation.
PCSS has formalized its cooperation with the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications by joining its network of members. As a leading institution in High-Performance Computing (HPC), cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, PCSS contributes unique expertise and experience gained through the implementation of over 300 research and development projects.
For PCSS, membership in PIIT is a natural stage of development, which enables direct dialogue with key stakeholders from the private sector. Such cooperation will allow the Center to translate scientific innovation more effectively into practical solutions for the economy and society.
Highlighting the importance of this collaboration, Robert Pekal, the Director of PCSS, stated:
“Joining the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications is a strategic step that will strengthen our cooperation with IT and telecommunications leaders in Poland. Through active participation in PIIT committees, we will not only exchange best practices but also contribute our unique experience to help shape the future of the national IT industry. PCSS in Three New ECHOES Projects Within the ECCCH

As part of the European Collaborative Cloud for Cultural Heritage (ECCCH) initiative, ten new projects from the 2024 call have been chosen for implementation in order to make a significant impact on the development of digital cultural heritage in Europe. These projects focus on digitisation, data analysis and enrichment, new user experiences, and the conservation of cultural heritage objects. PCSS is taking part in three of them: StratiGraph, INFINITY, and ECHOLOT.
From Lost Worlds to Open Data: 3DBigDataSpace Data Synergy Grant Winners

As PSNC is a partner of 3DBigDataSpace, our Center is very happy to share two exceptional undertakings that have been selected as winners of the project’s Data Synergy Call. Both of them are outstanding examples of striving for excellence in reconstructing lost heritage and so, they will receive support in preparing 3D assets and metadata in order to enrich Europe’s digital 3D cultural landscape. These two projects will be integrated into the Common European Data Space for Cultural Heritage — a key initiative aimed at increasing the accessibility, interoperability, and reusability of Europe’s digital heritage.
