Photo report: 3D scanning workshops as part of the 3DBigDataSpace project

We invite you to check out the photo report from the workshops held as part of the international 3DBigDataSpace project. The session, prepared by specialists from the New Media Department and the Digital Libraries and Knowledge Platforms Department at PCSS, focused on advanced 3D digitization techniques.

The program included a presentation of spatial data acquisition methods—from structured light scanning to the use of laser scanners—as well as a hands-on part, where participants could independently digitize selected objects.

Key contributors to the preparation and delivery of the workshops included, among others: Dr. Paweł Marciniak, Aleksandra Nowak, and Błażej Betański from the Digital Libraries and Knowledge Platforms Department, as well as Maciej Głowiak—head of the New Media Department—along with Michał Lorek and Jacek Walczak from that department.

The workshops provided a space for exchanging experiences and showcasing tools and solutions that support the development of digital cultural heritage. The digitized objects will soon be available in the dedicated software being developed under the project.
