From August 30 to September 2, Poznań will host the 16th edition of the International Conference on Parallel Processing and Applied Mathematics (PPAM 2026). Dedicated to the latest advances in parallel and distributed processing as well as applied mathematics, the event is co-organized by the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PCSS) in cooperation with the Częstochowa University of Technology and Poznań University of Technology.
This year’s edition of the PPAM conference, held under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, focuses on models, algorithms, and software tools designed to facilitate the effective use of modern computing architectures and large-scale practical applications. Special attention will be devoted to the future of computing beyond Moore’s Law, as well as the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) methods in High-Performance Computing (HPC).
As part of the conference program, the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center is organizing a workshop titled “2nd Workshop on Advancements of Global Challenges Applications” (AGCA). The objective of the workshop is to create a platform for discussing the development of large-scale simulation applications addressing contemporary global challenges. The sessions will cover the synergy between modeling, data acquisition, simulation, data analysis, and visualization, alongside scalability optimization across HPC, HPDA (High-Performance Data Analytics), and AI environments—with a particular emphasis on pre-exascale infrastructure.
