Project meeting of the KMD4EOSC consortium

Project meeting of the KMD4EOSC consortium

The second project meeting of the KMD4EOSC consortium took place in Gdańsk on October 16–17, 2025. The event was hosted by the Academic Computer Network Tri-City Computer Network Center (CI TASK).

The meeting brought together representatives from all consortium partners to review the outcomes of previous activities and set directions for future work. A key agenda item was the presentation of the project’s current status and progress made by specialized research teams, known as “labs.” These teams are conducting research on the latest technologies in artificial intelligence and data storage. The innovative technological solutions developed within the project will soon form the foundation for modern services offered to both the academic community and the business sector.

Another important aspect of the meeting was the precise definition and planning of tasks for the next few months for the four laboratories, where the project’s research and development activities are concentrated. Discussions focused on synergy between teams and optimizing collaboration to effectively achieve the project’s ambitious goals.

KMD4EOSC is a strategic initiative aimed at creating a national EOSC node, integrated into the European federated environment through the European Commission’s EOSC EU Node and other national nodes of EU member states. The project is designed to provide researchers and innovators with modern tools for collecting, processing, and sharing research data, supporting the development of open science and accelerating innovation.

The project FENG.02.04-IP.04-0015/24 Krajowy Magazyn Danych. Universal Infrastructure for Data Storage and Sharing and Efficient Processing of Large Data Volumes in HPC, Big Data, and Artificial Intelligence Models (KMD4EOSC)” is co-financed by European Funds for the Modern Economy in Poland for the years 2021–2027.
