NIGHTFOREARTH
Scientists from various fields teach us how to care for the planet on a daily basis

Researchers’ Night took place in 2019 in Poznań for the 13th time. It is very well recognized by a large number of audiences not only in Poznan but also in the Wielkopolskie and neighboring provinces. Poznań Researchers’ Night 2019 has once again been a great success – it was attended by over 60,000 people. All participants agree that it encouraged them to participate in scientific experiments they cannot see anywhere else and to observe the work of scientists. We want to show that, despite different profiles, universities, and research institutes involved in the project can work together and interest and attract a large number of participants.
The theme of RN 2020 focuses on broadly understood environmental protection and climate saving. Because of this, during Researchers’ Night 2020 in Poznań, we want to focus on the problems of environmental protection and showing how scientists can teach us what we can do to take care of the natural environment on a daily basis. That is why the programs of individual partners list events that are part of the program “Scientists from various fields teach us how to care for the planet on a daily basis.” We want to emphasize the role of science and scientists in stopping the climate crisis, which concerns not only a common Europe but is a global problem, as well as how local (ECO-local) actions can have an impact on global changes.
