SYGPAST
Constructing a multifunctional hybrid 3D printer with a real-time quality control system

The main goal of the project is to create a prototype of a hybrid 3D printer SYGPAST enabling control of the manufacturing process in real time. The device will allow printing from liquid materials and filaments in one process and will provide the user with open access to modification of printing parameters, thus allowing the use of own materials.

The SYGPAST printer will be used in the space industry (requiring satellite components), aviation (small turbine instrumentation), energy (specialized seals), chemical and material (both for the validation of manufactured materials and the production of specialized equipment assisting in research), and everywhere else, where maintaining continuous movement of machines and machine parts requires their efficient adaptation to regularly changing working conditions (rearming machine lines by producing specialized adapters, grips and protections).

Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry Polish Academy of Sciences – Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center implements a project co-funded by the National Center for Research and Development.
