Conference4me, conference mobile assistant, has been deployed for the Hellenic Conference on Artificial Intelligence (SETN 2012). Conference4me is a mobile application, developed by PSNC, that facilitates participation in conferences and exhibitions.It is offered free of charge to conference attendees.

This year’s TERENA conference, held in Reykjavik, was not only an opportunity to present the latest achievements in research projects, but also to celebrate the 10th anniversary of eduroam service. The exact anniversary of the establishment of eduroam is May 30.

From 24-26 May 2012 16th Symposium of Polish Society of Burn Treatment – “Burns 2012″will be held in Poznan. The event will be recorded by Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.

For three days (16-18.05.2012) Poznan was the world capital of Java. GeeCON conference participants had the opportunity not only to establish contacts and exchange experiences, but also to meet with world-renowned experts. Take a look at the photogallery from this event.

On 24 May 2012, LION International Foundation will organize the seventh global videoconference focused around otolaryngological and neurological surgery. The essence of the project is an interactive simultaneous broadcast “live” from the operating tables from different parts of the world. It is interactive, because the recipients will be in contact with operating surgeons and medical doctors and by moderators with the possibility to ask them question via moderators.

From 22 May 2012 a nationwide promotional campaign of five PLATON project’s ICT services will be performed by PIONIER Consortium and coordinated by Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center. We start in Rzeszow.

Conference4me application, created by PSNC, will be used at the Computing in High Energy and Nuclear Physics (CHEP) international conference which will be held on 21-24.05.2012 in New York.

This year’s international TERENA conference, will be host by the City of Reykjavik (21-24.05.2012). During the five-day event, participants will present the latest achievements of the research projects. Representatives of Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center will have their presentations during the conference sessions.

On Saturday, 19 May we invite to ZOO Poznan coworking space to the workshop on prototyping using the method of Design Thinking. The goal of the workshops is to design the final representation of a solution / service and to elaborate the script to use it. We are happy to welcome not only programmers, but everybody interested in the area.

This year, the Department of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznan celebrates the 40th anniversary of its existence. On May 16, 2012, in the Large Hall of the Center for Science of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznan, was held an anniversary celebration.

On May 16 we invite to the Lecture Centre of Poznan University of Technology on medical-informatics workshop, “The needs of the patient and the available ICT tools.” The seminar participants will have the opportunity, among others to try the new, fashionable method of rapid prototyping – DESIGN THINKING.

Once again, Poznan will host Poland’s largest international conference on software development – GeeCON. For three days (16-18.05.2012) world-class IT stars will gather in the capital of Wielkopolska Region. Registration using one of the conference paths will be conducted by PLATON project’s scientific HD TV team.
