The aim of the project is to develop a national intelligent digital research infrastructure for the humanities and art sciences. As part of the project activities, a
national ecosystem will be created that will allow for interdisciplinary research on materials that are the subject of archaeological research and on Polish
cultural heritage.
The infrastructure will be available for use in both national and international research projects, as well as for the implementation of
projects in cooperation with commercial partners. The results of the project, such as research object processing services, research data linkage and tools for
the implementation of advanced research scenarios, will contribute to the strengthening of Polish digital humanities and art sciences, as well as the process
of removing barriers in the context of access to connected resources and digital tools for people with disabilities and will positively affect the
implementation of the equal opportunities policy.
The infrastructure of the national ecosystem for conducting interdisciplinary research on archaeological materials and cultural heritage consists of the
following elements:
- Interdisciplinary Research Platform infrastructure, enabling the use of distributed and complementary laboratories established in the project Dariah.lab
(2021-2023), with a particular focus on data harmonization activities. - Archaeological Module infrastructure, enabling the performance of advanced documentation work on archaeological data, providing the interdisciplinary
research platform with mechanisms for implementing research scenarios in the field of archaeology. - Training Module infrastructure, containing training materials on research scenarios that can be implemented within the interdisciplinary research platform.
- Tool Harmonization infrastructure, containing a set of digital tools adapted to function within the interdisciplinary research platform or the archaeological
module.
The project is implemented by experienced specialists of the DARIAH-PL Consortium, with extensive knowledge and experience in the area of implementation of
investments in research infrastructure:
