See you in Helsinki!
It’s official – next year’s TNC is going to take place in Helsinki (Finland), and the host of the conference will be a Finnish educational network CSC Tieteen tietotekniikan keskus.

About PSNC in GÉANT CONNECT
The latest, June issue of the CONNECT journal, dedicated to the TNC25 conference, features an article on next-generation research infrastructures implemented within four PCSS projects based on the PIONIER Network.

Visit PCSS and PIONIER Booth at TNC25
TNC in Brighton is an excellent opportunity to make new connections, and the TNC Exchange is the perfect place to do it! This vibrant, open space offers exhibition stands, comfortable lounge areas, and the TNC Café. It’s also where you can visit the joint stand of pCSS and the PIONIER Consortium.

PCSS as the main technological partner of the conference
For the tenth time, PCSS is the main technological partner of the conference, providing: multimedia setting of plenary sessions, support for web systems, including the preparation of the conference website, full registration with conference payments and preparation of badges for the participants.

TNC25: Brighter Together
The 2025 edition of the TNC conference is about to begin. The most significant European event dedicated to research and academic networks is taking place in Brighton (UK), from 9 to 13 June. The event is hosted by The Janet Network (Jisc), the Academic Network of UK and NREN.“Brighter Together” is the official slogan of this year’s edition, which also marks PCSS’ tenth anniversary as the conference’s official technological partner.

PCSS representatives will also participate in thematic panels, presenting projects and services implemented by the Center:
- Piotr Rydlichowski and Domenico (Dom) Vicinanza (GÉANT) will discuss the current trends and European Commission initiatives related to the development of quantum technologies – computing, communication, and metrology. They will cover programs and infrastructure development, as well as synergies and connections of these technologies within the context of activities carried out by NREN scientific networks in Europe.
- Kajetan Kubik and Witold Taisner will present SUBMERSE, which can be described as a technological revolution in the oceans – the project focuses on fiber optic submarine cables evolving from simple data highways to dynamic environmental sensors, unlocking unlimited scientific possibilities.
- Tomasz Parkoła will talk about “Proste pismo” (Simple Writing), a tool for simplifying the language of official documents. This tool was developed in collaboration with linguists from the Adam Mickiewicz University, employees of the Poznań City Hall, and specialists from PCSS. The project was created for people who need to create official texts and documents in either traditional or electronic form; it is designed especially for employees of various offices and state institutions.
- Agnieszka Stokłosa will moderate a discussion on assessing interest in establishing a Policy Special Interest Group (SIG), which focuses on political issues relevant to NRENs and the GÉANT project. It is related to Task WP2T4 of the GN5-2 project.

PIONIER Consortium
PIONIER Consortium was established in 2003 and includes the PIONIER fiber optic network, which is one of the most modern in the world. It is a key component of the IT infrastructure of science in Poland and is part of the European Research Area.
IT infrastructure, including access to high-power computing, is a condition of development for many fields of science. Since the beginning of its existence, PIONIER is an active partner of scientific teams from many fields of activity.
PIONIER network is evolving towards terabit bandwidths, offering services to support digital innovation.
