At the beginning of 2025, Poland started its presidency of the Council of the European Union, which is going to last for the following six months. The motto of this term, which is “Security, Europe!”, reflects the priorities that focus on ensuring stability in key areas. Due to the nature of our activities, PSNC became an official partner of the Polish presidency.

On 23 January 2025 PSNC published its final post on X (former Twitter), officially informing that there will be no further communication from the Poznań Center on this platform.

How to provide an R&D environment for innovation in cultural heritage and creative industries using both augmented reality technology and digital cultural heritage resources with benefits in terms of social resilience? Representatives of several institutions from Poland, Cyprus and Turkey were looking for an answer to that and a few other questions at a very special meeting which took place at CBPIO in January. The meeting was actually the first such big event of a Heriforge project, which officially kicks off this year.

The Mind Challenge program is created for students of four main academic institutions in Poznań: the Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań University of Medical Sciences, Poznań University of Technology and Poznań University of Economics and Business. The primary goal of the program is to equip students with the knowledge and skills to realize ambitious ideas, supporting the development of future leaders in the field of innovation. The four universities along with PSNC have just signed a letter of intent to initiate cooperation on the first edition of this undertaking.

AGRO-PREMIERY (AGRICULTURE 5.0) is the biggest agricultural event in Poland. At this year’s edition, visitors got acquainted with the agrifoodTEF project, which is a result of cooperation between PSNC, the Łukasiewicz Research Network (Poznań Institute of Technology) and the Wielkopolska Agricultural Advisory Center in Poznań.

According to statistics 19 000 women in Poland are diagnosed with breast cancer each year and 15 of them die each day. The EmpowerHer project, which PSNC is a part of, focuses on improving overall well-being, promoting an active and healthy lifestyle and reintegrating women who have survived this type of cancer. Thanks to a user-friendly mobile application they will have access to personalized exercise procedures tailored to their needs and abilities.

PSNC and the City of Poznań are launching another joint venture. This time it is the “Automation of Website Functionalities (for poznan.pl and BIP)” project, the main goal of which is to improve the communication of the Poznań City administration with its clients by enhancing e-services in the area of e-administration.
