The main objective of the Art & Science project is to combine interdisciplinary practices: artistic, technological and scientific. We would like to invite you to the second edition of events organised in cooperation with the Foundation of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Pawilon (a branch of the Arsenal City Gallery) and PSNC Future Labs. The programme will address issues related to the use of immersive multimedia technologies, AI, interactivity or gaming in the creative and artistic process.

Are you a graduate of a Polish university who obtained an engineering or bachelor’s degree between 01.04.2023 and 15.04.2024? Your work is related to the following topics Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security or Algorithmics? Received at least a very good grade from the promoter and the reviewer? Excellent! Then take part in the national Engineer 4 Science 2024 competition, sponsored by PSNC.

During the one-day conference “Local Government in the Digital Era until 2030. – The Impact of Modern Technology on the Work of Local Government and Development Perspectives”, held in Młodzików on 25 April, local government officials and ICT specialists discussed how digital innovations can be used by local governments and local communities.

On 15-17 April 2024, the 23rd edition of the Bio-IT World Conference & Expo, considered the largest bioinformatics conference in the world, was held in Boston. Representatives of the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center – Dr Eng. Cezary Mazurek, and Dr Mikołaj Buchwald – participated in the event, which was organised under the motto ‘Building a Global Network for Precision Medicine’.

The importance and role of the CIO (Chief Information Officer) was the main topic of a three-day meeting (17-19 April 2024) held in Sopot. During the event, which was held under the slogan ‘Unlocking Performance Potential’, Marcin Płóciennik, Head of the Internet of Things Technology Department at the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center, hosted a round table on the data space.

On 18 April 2024, a conference entirely devoted to European Research Infrastructures available and used in V4 countries was held in Brussels. The event was co-organised by the Brussels liaison offices: CZELO (Czech Republic), SLORD (Slovakia), NRDIO (Hungary) and the PolSCA Polish Science Contact Agency of the Polish Academy of Sciences. In the part of the conference dedicated to research infrastructures, a presentation was given by Tomasz Parkoła, Head of the PSNC Digital Libraries and Knowledge Platforms Department.

It was a quantum weekend at PSNC Future Labs! For two days on 13 and 14 April, quantum technology enthusiasts competed in the second edition of the QL Future Hackathon. The event was organised by PSNC Future Labs in collaboration with Orca Computing, Capgemini, IBM and ID Quantique. Teams had 24 hours to come up with an innovative idea or technology solution in the areas of people, planet and climate.

The Poznań Festival of Science and Art has become a permanent fixture in the calendar of popular science events in the capital of the Wielkopolska region. This year’s 17th edition began on Monday 15 April and will last until Saturday 20 April. For several years now, the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center and the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry have been actively involved in the organisation of the festival, preparing numerous attractions for the youngest inhabitants of Poznan.

The INSECON Congress (15-16 April 2024) is a platform for gaining knowledge, establishing business relationships and exchanging experiences with cyber security professionals. The event, organised by the Poznań International Fair and the Ministry of National Defence, was attended by representatives of the ICT Security Department of the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center.

Ai_EnergINN is an industry conference dedicated to the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the energy sector, to which we invite you together with Enea Operator on 23-24 April 2024 at the Poznań International Fair. The event will feature presentations divided into several thematic blocks, with the participation of representatives of the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center.

How does an unmanned meter storage work? Do VR and AR also work well in the energy industry? How does nuclear fusion determine the future of energy? These are just a few of the topics that will be widely discussed during #Ai_EnergINN – a conference organised by Enea Operator and the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center. The conference will be held at the Poznan International Fair on 23-24 April as part of EXPOPOWER.

The EuroHPC Summit 2024 conference took place in Antwerp on 18-21 March 2024 during the Belgian Presidency. The event once again brought together a large number of stakeholders in the supercomputing industry from both the public and private sectors, including policy makers. At the invitation of the EuroHPC JU, the workshop entitled “Centres of Excellence: Deploying Flagship Codes on EuroHPC Supercomputers’ was attended by Dr.Eng. Marcin Lawenda from the New HPC Architectures Department.
