The national stage of this year’s international Hack4Europe competition took place on 26 and 27 May 2012 in Warsaw, and was organized by the National Audiovisual Institute. The competition has been prepared in cooperation with Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.

On June 15 2012, the number of digital objects accessible through the Digital Library Federation exceeded 1 000 000. The Publication which entered into the FBC database in this unique way, comes from the collection of the Silesian Library, and was made available by the Silesian Digital Library on June 15, entitled “Polonia, 1928, R. 5, No. 149.”

This year’s National Youth Meeting in the fields of Lednica (June 2 2012) was fully broadcasted on the Internet. Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center has taken the challenge to broadcast this project. Thanks to the kindness and dedication of many people, the event was a great success.

As in previous years, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center has taken the challenge to broadcast this year’s National Youth Meeting in the fields of Lednica. The event can be followed “live” on the Internet.

Conference4me, conference mobile assistant, has been deployed for the Hellenic Conference on Artificial Intelligence (SETN 2012). Conference4me is a mobile application, developed by PSNC, that facilitates participation in conferences and exhibitions.It is offered free of charge to conference attendees.

This year’s TERENA conference, held in Reykjavik, was not only an opportunity to present the latest achievements in research projects, but also to celebrate the 10th anniversary of eduroam service. The exact anniversary of the establishment of eduroam is May 30.

From 24-26 May 2012 16th Symposium of Polish Society of Burn Treatment – “Burns 2012″will be held in Poznan. The event will be recorded by Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.

For three days (16-18.05.2012) Poznan was the world capital of Java. GeeCON conference participants had the opportunity not only to establish contacts and exchange experiences, but also to meet with world-renowned experts. Take a look at the photogallery from this event.

On 24 May 2012, LION International Foundation will organize the seventh global videoconference focused around otolaryngological and neurological surgery. The essence of the project is an interactive simultaneous broadcast “live” from the operating tables from different parts of the world. It is interactive, because the recipients will be in contact with operating surgeons and medical doctors and by moderators with the possibility to ask them question via moderators.

From 22 May 2012 a nationwide promotional campaign of five PLATON project’s ICT services will be performed by PIONIER Consortium and coordinated by Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center. We start in Rzeszow.
