Delivery and installation of cooling equipment at the CBPIO Technology Building

Delivery and installation of technological cooling system equipment took place at the Technology Building of the Polish Optical Internet Research Center (CBPIO). Thanks to the expansion of the cooling capacity, the building will be equipped with two cooling circuits with a capacity of 1.2 MW each, so that it will be possible to ensure a high level of availability of equipment classically cooled with air using a refrigerant.

ISO 27001/9001 recertification

As a result of the recertification, the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center has extended the provision of its services in accordance with ISO27001 and ISO9001 for the next three years. The audit was conducted on April 12-14 by TUV NORD. In addition to the existing services, the scope has been extended to include the provision of services in the area of data centers for both information security and quality control.

Ivana Golub and Damian Niemir nominated for the GÉANT Community Award 2023

The GÉANT Community Award has been awarded since 2012 for an outstanding contribution to the joint activities of the community focused around national research and education networks and for the development of services and new technologies. Among this year’s nominees there are two representatives of PSNC – Ivana Golub (Data Engineering and Analytical Platforms Department) and Damian Niemir (Head of Cooperation and Contacts Department).

SCA23: inaugural meeting of the Alliance of Supercomputing Centres

At this year’s Supercomputing Asia (27.02.-2.03.2023, Singapore), the largest HPC conference held in Asia, the global cooperation within the Alliance of Supercomputing Centres (ASC) was inaugurated. Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center is among the nine members of supercomputing centres from around the world.

The guests of POZcast, initiated by the Foundation for the Development of the City of Poznań, are representatives of business, art, science and social activists important to our city. Publication of research results of the AMUNATCOLL project

The latest issue of the journal “Biodiversity: Research and Conservation” is devoted entirely to the AMUNATCOLL project. The project “Nature Collections of the Adam Mickiewicz University on the Internet: digitization and making available the resources of biodiversity of the Faculty of Biology at the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan”, was implemented in 2018-2021 by a consortium consisting of the Adam Mickiewicz University – Faculty of Biology (project coordinator) and PSNC (technological partner).
