Europeana Aggregators’ Forum at PSNC

Europeana Aggregators’ Forum at PSNC

On 9 and 10 April 2025 PSNC was hosting the spring edition of Europeana Aggregators’ Forum – an event that brings together representatives of institutions which aggregate and share cultural heritage data through cooperation with Europeana. The meeting created a platform for sharing experience, recent achievements, and discussing future challenges.

Europeana shares over 60 million images, texts, audio and video recordings plus data in 3D, which come from thousands of European libraries, archives, museums, galleries, and other collections. That rich collection is created by the members of EAF – a sort of “middlemen” institutions, which collect and aggregate the cultural heritage data in order to eventually make it available to anyone concerned with cultural heritage.

The spring Forum was attended by participants from various parts of the Old Continent, who contributed to this event both in the PSNC headquarters and online. The topics discussed during this EAF’s sessions included: cultural heritage data space, new types of data (e.g. 3D) and the strategy of sharing them, Public Domain Day 2026, and of course the currently realized projects like 3DBigDataSpace, 3D-4CH, EUreka3D and EUreka3D-XR.
