On November 23, 2022, the 7th edition of the European Laryngological Live Surgery Broadcast will be held at the Polish Optical Internet Research Center, the headquarters of the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center. The session is organized by the European Laryngological Society, the Department of Otolaryngology at Poznan University of Medical Sciences, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center, and the Health and Social Issues Department of Poznan City Hall.

On November 21, 2022 at the headquarters of the Marshal Office of the Wielkopolska Region, a gala was held, summarizing the art contest “Superheroes in the fight against the pandemic” organized for elementary school under the REGIONAL COVID-HUB project. The organizers of the contest were the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.

The second edition of the PLANET-ON international climate hackathon will be held for two weend days – November 19 and 20, 2022 – in the spaces of PSNC Future Labs at 20 Zwierzyniecka Street in Poznan. Attractive prizes await the best originators.

After a two-year break caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Supercomputing – the world’s largest conference bringing together the international HPC community, has returned to its traditional, stationary form. Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center together with the PIONIER Consortium (14-17.11.2022) will present the most relevant projects and activities durung the SC22 exhibition hosted in Dallas, Texas.

On November 15, 2022, the Institute of Human Genetics of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Poznan will host the second edition of the Hematology Day, organized within the framework of the European NEXT_LEVEL project. This year’s event will be devoted to CAR-T in the treatment of hematological cancers. PSNC will conduct a live broadcast from the conference.

On November 3, 2022, the final gala ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology to summarize the ‘AI4Youth Artificial Intelligence’ competition, aimed at students of public secondary schools and vocational technical schools participating in the ‘AI4Youth’ pilot project. The programme is a unique educational journey, covering 4 stages and allowing young people to gain knowledge and practical skills to create their own project using Artificial Intelligence.

The conference of PRACE-LAB Services and Infrastructure Users took place on October 27-28, 2022. The aim of the event was to present the scientific achievements implemented using the PRACE-LAB infrastructure within the framework of national and international research grants.

PRACE-LAB Summit 2022 is the first edition of the meeting, bringing together both users and providers of advanced computing services within the PRACE-LAB project. On October 24 and 25, a project meeting was held at the headquarters of the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center, while the following two days were devoted to the Users’ meeting.

For two days, on October 20 and 21, 2022, the Poznan Economic Congress was hosted at the Municipal Stadium in Poznan. This innovative event consists of multiple panels with experts to increase and exploit the potential of Wielkopolska Region for the development of Poland. The Congress also includes discussions, meetings and networking of business, economic, political, social and local government partners.

On October 10-13, 2022, a meeting of teams from the University of Warsaw (Digital Competence Center UW; Department of Geology UW) and the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center was held at the European Centre for Geological Education at the University of Warsaw in Checiny. the goal was to expand cooperation related to the use of photogrammetry, laser scanning and drone piloting for source data acquisition applications dedicated to archaeological and interdisciplinary projects.

On December 1-2, 2022, Quantum Internet Hackathon 2022 will be organised simultaneously in six European cities: Amsterdam, Dublin, Padua, Tashkent, Sarajevo and Poznan. The hackathon, aimed at quantum technology enthusiasts, is co-organised by the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.

The 16th edition of one of the most popular events promoting science is just around the corner – Noc Naukowców 2022 (Researchers’ Night 2022). Together with eight institutions from Poznan, we invite all science and knowledge lovers to have fun together. This year’s event will feature lectures, workshops and demonstrations, all of which can be followed live in a special TV studio.
