PCSS Is a Partner of the “Quantum Babylon” Exhibition

We are thrilled to announce our institutional partnership with the “Quantum Babylon” exhibition, currently on display at the National Museum in Szczecin. The vernissage, held on 26 June 2025, drew not only contemporary art enthusiasts and admirers of Roman Lipski’s work, but also an international group of experimentalists who harness modern technologies to create new dimensions in art & science.

“Quantum Babylon” is an artistic dialogue by painter Roman Lipski, who this time drew inspiration from the cutting-edge field of quantum technologies. Using highly engineered quantum computer software, he creates astonishing landscapes and new worlds, presented as computer animations and hand-woven sheep wool rugs – the patterns of which are derived directly from iterative quantum transformations. For this artistic endeavor, a special algorithm named “Quantum Blur” was developed, and it transforms visual data into compositions, naturally utilizing quantum computational methods.

For PCSS this is also a fantastic opportunity to promote the Center’s latest investment – the PIAST-Q quantum computer, based on trapped-ion technology.

Moreover, our visit to Szczecin served as another prelude to future collaborations in technology-inspired art, a field that PCSS has proudly supported for many years. We sincerely hope that “Quantum Babylon” will also have the chance to be presented in Poznań, the capital of the Wielkopolska region!

The exhibition in Szczecin will run until 21 September 2025.
