PSNC at ISC 2022 – Where innovation is everyday

PSNC booth at ISC 2022 Conference was devoted to the use of data and HPC infrastructure (High Performance Computing) to build IT services, the support for projects from the Polish Roadmap for Research Infrastructures, as well as key European projects from the ESFRI map (European Strategy Forum for Research Infrastructure).

The presented projects include:

– DARIAH
– CLARIN
– XFEL
– LOFAR
– ECBIG
– EOSC-Future
– EoCoE

In addition, applications in EuroHPC and PRACE, intelligent agriculture (eDWIN) and research in the area of quantum computing as well as new generation networks were also addressed.

The leading IT projects – PRACE-LAB, PRACE-LAB2 and KMD were also presented at the exhibition during ISC Conference. These projects are implemented by a consortium of leading units in the field of large-scale computing (Gdansk University of Technology – CI TASK, Wroclaw University of Technology – WCSS, ACK Cyfronet AGH, National Centre for Nuclear Research – NCBJ) and universities – leaders in the field of data infrastructure services (Częstochowa University of Technology, Kielce University of Technology, Łódź University of Technology, Białystok University of Technology) and the coordinator – Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.

The PRACE-LAB research infrastructure, financed from EU funds under the competition 4.2 Development of modern research infrastructure of the science sector, Intelligent Development is continuously (since November 2019) on the list of the TOP500 largest supercomputers and the most efficient computing systems in terms of energy consumption – Green500 list.

At the ISC 2022 conference, the latest list of the 500 fastest computers was officially presented.
