"Brighter Together" is the official slogan of this year’s edition, which also marks PCSS’ tenth anniversary as the conference's official technological partner.

The initial meeting of the Q-Chronos project took place at the PCSS headquarters on 5 June 5 2025. In practice this project is a system of mobile quantum sensors with optical clocks integrated into telecommunication networks. All project consortium members participated in the event. Apart from the PCSS specialists, there were representatives from the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences (CBK PAN), Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, and AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków.
Another edition of the Women In Tech Summit took place in Warsaw. The three days (3-5 June 2025) of this technological conference were a great opportunity to share experiences with representatives of many scientific institutions. They also confirmed an enormous interest in quantum technologies, reflected, among others, in the creation of a separate quantum path within this summit, consisting of over a dozen events entirely devoted exclusively to quantum topics.
On 5 and 6 June 2025, PCSS headquarters (CBPIO) was the heart of the EmpowerHer project created for women who have survived breast cancer and are currently returning to normal life. The first day was divided into a hybrid meeting of experts (Expert Team EmpowerHer) and discussions among partners of this very special undertaking, which continued on day two.
The first edition of the European Science Fair (June 3-6, 2025) has commenced in Poznań. This event is an integral part of ITM INDUSTRY EUROPE – the largest trade fair event in Central and Eastern Europe, where companies from around the world showcase solutions aligned with the Industry 4.0 concept. The combination of science and industry is what we do at PCSS, so our Center had to be present at the Poznań International Fair grounds, where it all takes place.
On 2 June 2025, the fifth general meeting of the European 5G-TACTIC project took place at PCSS' headquarters. Discussions during the event concerned organizational matters and the key assumptions of the project. The 5G-TACTIC project is implemented by 15 institutions, which together form the project’s consortium.
The newest issue of Nature magazine (04/2025) features an article titled “Long-Distance Coherent Quantum Communications in Deployed Telcom Networks” and one of its coauthors is Piotr Rydlichowski – a PSNC’s researcher from the Centre’s Network Technologies Division.
At the end of 2024, GÉANT released a report identifying the key opportunities and challenges facing the NREN community (National Research and Education Network) in the coming decade. One of the authors of this document is Raimundas Tuminauskas – Head of the Network Infrastructure and Services Department at PSNC.

To get insights into this significant development, we reached out to Dr Mikołaj Buchwald – an expert from the PSNC Internet Services Department, whose research interests include cognitive neuroscience, machine learning methodology, as well as using AI plus advanced data analysis to explain human physiology and psychology.

The main objective of the project is to provide Kąkolewo Airport with scientific and research infrastructure for conducting research and development work in the fields of air transport, utility operations, logistics, monitoring, surveillance and neutralisation of incidents and disasters.
