PSNC was a Honorary Patron of the “AI Technologies in the Transport Market” Seminar

The main goal of the seminar “AI Technologies in the Transport Market” was to present industry-dedicated solutions in research and development utilizing AI technologies. The seminar was organized by the Association of Polish Communication Engineers and Technicians in Kraków, with the participation of the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center, Cracow University of Technology, and the Małopolska Regional Chamber of Civil Engineers in Kraków.

PSNC was the honorary patron of this event and the Center’s specialists took active part in the event’s discussion panels. 

  • The Director of PSNC Robert Pękal discussed the Poznań Center’s scope of interest, focusing on the current projects relying on artificial intelligence.
  • Marcin Adamski from the Energy-Efficient ICT Department presented the use of AI in production processes and quality control. His presentation focused on how AI can optimize manufacturing and ensure product quality.
  • Witold Taisner from the New Generation Networks Department elaborated on “AI in automating infrastructure damage detection based on images”, highlighting the role of AI in maintaining critical infrastructure through visual analysis.
  • Bartosz Belter from the Data Engineering and Analytical Platforms Department had a presentation titled “Optical fibers as passive sensors and how we can use Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) technology”.
  • Tomasz Parkoła, the Director of Network Services Division, introduced ChatBOT – an AI assistant for IT systems support.

The seminar also featured contributions from IBM, Google and Dell representatives, who shared their knowledge on the commercial implementation of AI.
