PSNC and Microsoft Poland invite to the fifth anniversary conference of Microsoft Innovation Center in Poznan, organized on 16th June 2011. Admission is free of charge and the registration can be done from now on.
The conference is traditionally organized under the motto “Modern Technologies Closer To Us”. The theme of this year’s meetings will be data processing in the cloud.
Ph. D. Takeji Kenda (Microsoft Research) will present a special lecture concerning the use of the cloud model in an open environment of different technologies. Selected technical aspects of Azure technology will also be presented, as well as some interesting examples of implementing the cloud computing model, based on the experience of: the producer, commercial companies, as well as currently conducted own research at Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center. The themes of security of the cloud, as well as the data processed in it, will also be discussed. Presentations will be leaded by Tomasz Kopacz (Microsoft Poland), Marcin Pytlik (IT Solutions) but also by the staff from PSNC’s Supercomputing Department.
The conference will be held on Thursday, 16th June 2011 in Poznan (Poznański Ośrodek Nauki, ul. Wieniawskiego 17/19) from 10:00 to 17:00.
The event is open to all representatives of scientific institutions, universities, organizations and companies that may be interested in implementing or using services based on clouds, but also to all the lovers of modern information technology.
In the conference lobby it will be possible to relax and leave the technical issues for a while. Microsoft’s Kinect technology will be presented to all the participants, which is a game controller using whole-body movements. As always, each participant will be able to participate in the competition with attractive prizes.

On 17 and 18 June 2025, the Digital Summit conference was held at the European Solidarity Centre in Gdańsk.
