Double Gold of the eDWIN advisory platform at the Polagra Premiery fair!

The eDWIN advisory platform, whose originator is the Wielkopolska Agricultural Advisory Center in partnership with PSNC, received two Gold Medals at the Polagra Premiery fair. The awards are given to innovative products appreciated by experts as well as consumers and fair participants.

The award ceremony took place on January 13, during the opening of the Polagra Premiery. During the three days of the fair, visitors can also visit the booth of the eDWIN platform. Advisors from the Wielkopolska Agricultural Advisory Center will not only present all the possibilities offered by the eDWIN platform, but will also assist in registering in the application.

Free platform for everyone

The platform is completely free and available to anyone willing to use it on desktop computers or mobile devices (dedicated application). The platform can be used by farmers, scientific institutions, local governments, as well as otherinterested parties and individuals.

Four electronic services have been created as part of the eDWIN platform:
– Virtual Farm,
– Sharing of meteorological data,
– Tracking the origin of products,
– Hazard reporting.

From the perspective of farmers, the most important are “Virtual Farm” and “Sharing of Meteorological Data.” The first service allows to obtain, collect and share information about the occurrence of agrophages in a given area and provides notifications about possible threats in the field.
In addition, through the eDWIN platform, farmers have access to data from about 600 weather stations across the country that collect information about the current weather. Each station continuously monitors, among others, temperature, air humidity, rainfall total and intensity, atmospheric pressure or even wind speed and direction.

Detailed information about the platform and registration are available at www.edwin.gov.pl

The originator of the eDWIN platform is the Wielkopolska Agricultural Advisory Center in Poznań. All regional agricultural advisory centers in Poland, the Agricultural Advisory Center, the Institute of Plant Protection in Poznań and the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center participated in the work on the eDWIN platform.
