The topic of the event was the first Polish test for SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus. Remote questions were answered by representatives of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, where the test was developed. PSNC provided the technical support to to the event.
The videoconference was attended by the Director of IBCH PAS – Professor Marek Figlerowicz, Professor Agnieszka Fiszer from the Viral Support Group of the Department of Medical Biotechnology of IBCH PAS and Dr Luiza Handschuh – coordinator of the Viral Support Group, Head of the IBCH PAS Genomics Laboratory. The journalists’ questions concerned the differences between the first and second generation tests, test availability or production speed of these tests.

On 14 March 2024, a new map of test and accelerator areas under the NATO's Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) programme was announced. The PSNC AerospaceLab in Kąkolewo is one of dozens of locations already selected in the North Atlantic Alliance for test centres (DIANA Test Centres). A new Polish contribution to the programme is the AGH University of Krakow, which together with the Krakow Technology Park will jointly run a branch of the NATO Defence Innovation Accelerator (Krakow DIANA Accelerator).
