PSNC together with eleven leading national research and education networks (NRENs) representing the Americas, Asia-Pacific, and Europe announced the official launch of the second “Enlighten Your Research Global” (EYR-Global) program. This program, which helps accelerate international research collaborations by providing selected proposals with improved networking, data transfers, and/or engineering, is now accepting proposals.

PSNC’s comprehensive activity aimed at forming a vast regional business and technology ecosystem based on the FIWARE platform and the Poznań Internet Innovation Hub has been recognised by the XIFI project which manages the FIWARE Lab federation of infrastructures.

The International Conference on Theory and Practice of Digital Libraries (TPDL, http://tpdl2015.info/) constitutes a leading scientific forum on digital libraries that brings together researchers, developers, content providers and users in the field of digital libraries.

Succeed project final technical review took place at the end of February in Alicante. Experts invited by the European Commission evaluated all project outcomes. The final assessment of the project was “excellent”, which means that “the project has fully achieved its objectives and technical goals for the period and has even exceeded expectations”.

A prototype version of the network service indexing open-source projects was recently made available under the MARKOS project, together with PSNC Open Source Competence Centre. We invite you to test this service!

PRACE association opened its 11th Call for Proposals on 9 February 2015 at 13:30 CET. This Call includes Multi-year Access as well as a Data Storage Service Pilot.

Many important events and conferences return at the beginning of the new year and with them Conference4me. In February the application will support three international events, including the one taking place in Poland.

Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of Polish Academy of Sciences Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center(hereinafter referred to as PSNC), Poznań, POLAND expresses interest to gather information regarding potential new optical dark fiber routes and services for PIONIER Polish National Research and Education network. In order to present current PIONIER network status and details regarding potential new services Request for Information (hereinafter referred to as RFI) document was prepared and published on PSNC website.

The 52nd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control will be held in Florence, Italy during December 10-13, 2013. This event is huge so the participants will have the opportunity to appreciate mobile conference assistant.

Supercomputing 2013 – the world’s largest ICT environments meeting, organized around such topics as: efficient data processing (HPC – High Performance Computing), networking, storage and analysis of data, is held in Denver, Colorado (U.S). The conference taking place from 17 to 22 November, is accompanied by the exhibition (18-21.11.2013), during which PIONIER Consortium and Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center is presenting Polish achievements in the field of ICT.
