PCSS Presents the agrifoodTEF Project at the SCAR/BIOEAST Conference

On 11 and 12 June 2025, the Polish Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development organized the SCAR/BIOEAST conference, focused on research and innovation in the agricultural sector. PCSS was one of the participants in this event, as a partner in the agrifoodTEF project – which supports modern and innovative solutions for agriculture.

The conference was organized as a part of Poland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union, with co-organizers including the European Commission, the Standing Committee on Agricultural Research (SCAR), and the BIOEAST Initiative – focusing on “research, innovation, and digitalization to increase the competitiveness of European agriculture and ensure food security.”

Marcin Płóciennik, Head of the Internet of Things Technology Department at PCSS, was one of the panelists in the session titled “Governance for Digital Transition in the Agri-Food Sector – Digitalization as a Driver to Further Advance the Transition”. He presented initiatives and tools supporting digital transformation, specifically highlighting the Test and Experiment Facilities for the Agri-Food domain (agrifoodTEF) as an enabler for the development and validation of AI and robotics solutions.

The session, which featured Marcin’s presentation, underscored the vital role of digital transformation in helping agriculture and rural areas to address challenges such as climate change, environmental degradation, geopolitical instability, evolving supply chains, and changing consumer demand.
