PRACE steering committee meeting

PRACE steering committee meeting
On March 7, 2023, Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center organized a meeting of the PRACE Steering Committee. PRACE is a European organization dedicated to the provision of HPC (High Performance Computing) services which are used by the scientific community with access to the largest supercomputing systems in Europe.

PRACE is an international consortium operating since 2008, responsible for building HPC infrastructure in Europe and scientific cooperation using advanced computing. The result of international cooperation is the establishment of PRACE AISBL, a non-profit organization created by European HPC centers.

At the Steering Committee meeting taking place in Poznan the cooperation with EuroHPC, as well as the future of strategic directions, known as PRACE 3.0 will be discussed.

PSNC strongly marks its presence in PRACE structures as a founding member of PRACE AISBL and in the person of Norbert Meyer, Ph.D., Director of Data Processing Technologies Division, who is vice-chairman of the PRACE Consortium.
