Closing meeting of the CLONETS-DS project

On March 1, 2023, the last meeting of the CLONETS-DS project was held at the PSNC headquarters. The project is scheduled to end on March 31 this year. The event, organized in a hybrid mode, was attended by representatives of the various partners of the project consortium: GÉANT, CESNET, PTB, ISI, AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow and Piktime Systems.

During the meeting, the work carried out in the five work packages was summarized, and the scope of the final work was agreed. The proposed topology of the time and frequency transmission network and the budget required to build such a network were also presented. The further discussion focused on discussing ways to obtain financing for the project to build a time and frequency transmission network, as well as the possibility of continuing the interaction of project partners. To this end, the partners proposed to sign an agreement on further cooperation.

The event was also an opportunity to say farewell to Dr Harald Schnatz of the Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), who is retiring in the near future. He was recognized for his work and commitment, both in this project and in previous ones in which he collaborated with CLONETS-DS project partners.
