The ISSET International Symposium is organised every two years by the Polish Section of the Audio Engineering Society togetherwith Polish Radio S.A., the Warsaw University of Technology and Fryderyk Chopin University of Music. This unique event brings together many professionals, music school graduates, enthusiasts and educators. This year’s edition of the Symposium (October 12-14, 2023) was attended by representatives of the PSNC, presenting their original ambisonic installation.

The symposium programme included both paper presentations, workshops and technical tours of studio spaces. Thematic blocks included the aesthetics of sound recording, sound for virtual and augmented reality, audio signal processing, electroacoustics, film sound recording and production, as well as sound perception and surround sound.

As part of the latter topic, Dr Marcin Dąbrowski and Jan Skorupa presented the results of experiments conducted using the PSNC ambisonic installation. The presented experiments were commented on by the participants of the meeting, in particular by specialists of human hearing.
