Presentation of the DACE application at the Europeana Tech 2023 Conference

Speeches, workshops and talks, as well as numerous presentations were prepared as part of this year’s edition of the Europeana Tech Conference, which was hosted in Hague from 10 to 12 October. The event featured, among others: DACE (Data Aggregation and proCessing Engine) application developed and maintained by the Department of Digital Libraries and Knowledge Platforms of the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center.

The Europeana Foundation, the organizer of the conference, has been supporting the cultural heritage sector in the process of its digital transformation for years. The Foundation develops expertise and prepares tools to accommodate digital change and encourages partnerships supporting innovation. Europeana Tech is one of the most important events on the Old Continent dedicated to digital cultural heritage, bringing together professionals, developers, researchers as well as students.

During this year’s edition, representatives of PSNC’s Digital Libraries and Knowledge Platforms Department presented the DACE (Data Aggregation and proCessing Engine) application developed and maintained by the Poznan Center. The platform serves as a backbone for the Digital Libraries Federation (FBC) and such projects as the SSH Open Marketplace, Leopoldina (a platform for integrating and sharing the electronic resources of Wrocław University for science, education and knowledge dissemination) or Ariadna (service presenting digital cultural and scientific resources from the region of Silesia and the Silesian Voivodeship).
