PSNC Podcast: How to talk to a machine, or the interface: human-computer. Part 1

Welcome to the fourth episode of the PSNC Podcast series. In the first part of the conversation with Dr Mikołaj Buchwald from the Future Internet Services Department, we take a closer look at the history and development of human-machine interfaces. We also present the emerging scientific and research projects in this field carried out at the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center.

Human-machine interfaces appeared with the development of first computers and at that time they were used only by a small group of specialists and scientists. Today, they are used by everyone. Many of these interfaces are being developed as part of ongoing PSNC projects, including a tool which is able to automatically determine the interest and emotional attitude of people in a video message, a platform supporting communication of people with profound complex intellectual disabilities, or applications supporting seniors in their daily life. More information about the specific applications of human-machine interfaces will be introduced by Dr Mikołaj Buchwald from PSNC.

Agnieszka Wylegała and Błażej Oczkowski invite you to the first part of the interview.
