The eDWIN advisory platform, whose originator is the Wielkopolska Agricultural Advisory Center in Poznań, has been awarded the Gold Medal of the Poznań International Fair Group. The award is granted to products that are distinguished by innovation based on proprietary solutions.
Now the eDWIN platform is participating in the voting for the Gold Medal Consumer’s Choice 2023. We encourage you to vote for the eDWIN platform, which is available on the MTP website until January 10, 2023.
– We are pleased with this unique award and the fact that an external panel of experts has recognized the innovation and opportunities that the eDWIN advisory platform brings to farmers. This is an additional motivation for us to continue working on the development of the platform,” says Jacek Sommerfeld, Director of the Wielkopolska Agricultural Advisory Center in Poznań.
He adds: – The Wielkopolska Agricultural Advisory Center in Poznań actively supports and contributes to the development of agriculture, also by creating the eDWIN platform. The Gold Medal awarded by the Grupa MTP reinforces our conviction that the direction of our activities is right.
The award ceremony will take place on January 13, 2023, during the official opening of the Polagra Premiery fair. The exhibition booth of the eDWIN advisory platform will also be available at the fair.
– I believe that an increasing number of farmers will use the functionalities offered by the eDWIN platform to support their daily work in the field. In today’s world, where technology is present in most spheres of our lives, agriculture should also benefit from modern solutions,” says Maciej Zacharczuk, project manager of the eDWIN platform from the Wielkopolska Agricultural Advisory Center in Poznań.
The platform is completely free and available to everyone willing to use it on computers and as an application on mobile devices. The platform can be used by farmers, scientific institutions, local governments and other individuals.
Four electronic services have been created as part of the eDWIN platform:
– Virtual Farm,
– Sharing of meteorological data,
– Tracking the origin of products,
– Hazard reporting.

Let us remind that the Grupa MTP Gold Medal is not the first award the eDWIN platform has received. In September 2021, it was awarded the Polish Intelligent Development Award.
The eDWIN advisory platform was created as part of the project “Internet Platform for Advising and Decision Support in Integrated Plant Protection,” which was co-financed by European Funds under the Digital Poland program.
The originator of the eDWIN platform was the Wielkopolska Agricultural Advisory Center in Poznań. All regional agricultural advisory centers in Poland, the Agricultural Advisory Center, the Institute of Plant Protection in Poznań and the Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center participated in the work on the eDWIN platform.
The project “Internet Platform for Advising and Decision Support in Integrated Plant Protection” implemented under Measure 2.1 “High availability and quality of public e-services” of Priority Axis II “E-government and open government” of the Digital Poland Operational Programme 2014-2020. The project funding agreement was signed with the Digital Poland Projects Centre on 19 June 2019. The total value of the project is PLN 20,920,508.02, of which PLN 17,689,792.53 from European funds, with the rest coming from the state budget.
