TNC20: see you in Brighton in 2021

The opening session of this year’s TNC conference was scheduled for today, 8 June 2020. As in previous years, PSNC was supposed to act as a technological partner. Unfortunately, the organizers, due to the persisting coronavirus epidemic, decided to postpone the conference for a year. As a consequence, there are still 12 months left for preparations.

The Networking Conference is the largest and most prestigious conference of scientific and academic networks in Europe. Each edition brings together more than half a thousand participants, specialists and managers of major networks in Europe, as well as research organisations, universities and industry representatives. Through lectures by outstanding specialists, discussions and sessions, TNC participants review the latest developments in the field of research networks, both in technical and in application/management of the network areas. The conference is an opportunity to meet all those who cooperate on joint research projects during the year. It is also a time for plans and summaries, confrontation of results and presentation of achievements within national scientific networks.

This year’s edition was planned for 8-12 June in Brighton, UK. Once again PSNC was to participate in the event as a technology partner, responsible for the official conference website, registration system, broadcast from the plenary room, as well as preparation of a multimedia show during the opening and closing sessions.

The organizers decided that for the safety of the participants, this year’s edition will be moved to the next year, 2021. Read the invitation of Cathrin Stover – Chief Communications Officer of GÉANT Community to next year’s edition of TNC in the electronic edition of Connect magazine.
