Webinar for students of Poznan University of Technology

A remote lecture entitled: “Advanced technologies for immersive visualizations and 8K streaming” was organized in the 8K studio at the PSNC headquarters. This event was a part of the Modern Computer Networks course, led by Maciej Głowiak and Eric Skotarczak (PSNC New Media Department) for students of the Faculty of Computer Science of the Poznan University of Technology.

The speakers presented issues related to UHD/8K technology, image quality, coding, stereoscopy, VR and immersion systems, as well as streaming. The lecture was supplemented with a practical demonstration of the laboratory and equipment. The presentation took place in form of a live broadcast from a virtual studio located in the CBPIO building, using eduMeet videoconferencing platform and Twitch.
