Women In Tech Summit

The “Women In Tech Summit” is an international event addressed to women starting or already pursuing their career path in IT and TECH.The Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center will actively participate in this highly popular event.

The last edition in 2022 attracted 10,000 participants from 84 countries. The main objectives of the organisers are to create a platform where inspiring women can meet, share their stories and learn from the best technology organisations in Poland, Europe and the world, as well as to strengthen the community in academia and business. At the same time, the event is a place to promote IT and TECH employers and showcase achievements in areas such as Tech4Climate, Digital Ecology, Deep Tech, Cybersecurity, Human-Machine Interaction, Artificial Intelligence or Metaverse.

In this year’s fifth edition of the event, which will take place on 14-15 June 2023 in Warsaw, PSNC will actively participate, presenting and promoting its achievements and projects involving women scientists at its stand. One of the speakers on the technical stage will be Agata Filipczak, who works at PSNC in the ‘Fair For Fusion’ project team, which aims to create an open platform for data exchange for the European fusion community.

Participation in this event, apart from promoting PSNC as a substantive partner in international projects, is an important element of the implementation strategy of the Gender Equality Plan at the Institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

    The Poznań Supercomputing and Networking Center (PCSS) and Wielkopolska Agency for Enterprise Development (WARP) signed a letter of intent regarding cooperation in the area of cybersecurity. In its initial phase, the cooperation will feature the dissemination and promotion of information about cybersecurity and the security of ICT systems among entrepreneurs in Wielkopolska (Greater Poland) Voivodeship.

PSNC specialists who participate in the Superheroes 4 Science project created a very special game which combines science and fun! The game is called “Parallel Quest” and it guides its players through the mysteries of supercomputers and parallel programming.     Q-ChronoS: A Mobile Quantum Sensors System in Telecommunication Networks

    “The system of mobile quantum sensors with optical clocks integrated into telecommunication networks (Q-ChronoS)” is a project related to the development of systems of two mobile quantum sensors based on optical atomic clocks and an infrastructure for optical frequency transfer, which will enable their use in various locations in Poland. The project is aimed at a wide range of recipients focused around quantum technologies, geodetics, metrology, physics, radiostrontium and communication.

    Thanks to the Dariah.lab infrastructure, the first pilot projects for the preservation and dissemination of cultural heritage resources have been implemented in 2023. Dariah.lab is a research infrastructure for the humanities and arts, built as part of the DARIAH-PL project. It serves to acquire, store and integrate cultural data from the humanities and social sciences, and to process, visualise and share digital resources.

    WEDROWNIQ – Polish Infrastructure of Satellite Quantum Communication Systems

    Q-ChronoS: A Mobile Quantum Sensors System in Telecommunication Networks

    “The system of mobile quantum sensors with optical clocks integrated into telecommunication networks (Q-ChronoS)” is a project related to the development of systems of two mobile quantum sensors based on optical atomic clocks and an infrastructure for optical frequency transfer, which will enable their use in various locations in Poland. The project is aimed at a wide range of recipients focused around quantum technologies, geodetics, metrology, physics, radiostrontium and communication.

    Europeana Aggregators’ Forum at PSNC
