“New Trends and Applications of Multichannel Sound Technology and Sound Quality Research”. was the main topic of the event, organized by the Polish Section of Audio Engineering Society (AES) and the Wroclaw Branch of the Polish Acoustic Society in cooperation with the Department of Acoustics, Multimedia and Signal Processing of the Wroclaw University of Technology.

During the conference PSNC employees: Jan Skorupa and Maciej Głowiak delivered a paper entitled “Immersive Sound. Practical methods and applications of the Ambisonic sound of higher order in VR/360° audiovisual productions”. During the presentation the assumptions of ambisonic sound and the methods of its recording were presented, supported by practical examples from the Immersify project. During the event, the methods of mixing and producing sound in B-Format were demonstrated, the multichannel sound installation set up by PSNC was discussed but also the objective as well as subjective research on the quality of sound reproduced by this installation was mentioned.
