Award for the PELOSHA project

The Swiss Dalle Molle Foundation for Quality of Life has awarded the PELOSHA (Personalizable Services For Supporting Healthy Aging) project. The project is implemented by an international consortium of scientific and industrial units from Poland, Belgium, Switzerland and Hungary. Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center is the consortium leader.

Consortium partners are COMmeto bvba, e-Point bvba and Woonzorgcentrum Sint Jan Berchmans from Belgium, terzStiftung and University Hospitals of Geneva from Switzerland, RadiÖko Kft from Hungary and Polish entrepreneurs: ITTI (LLC) and Grinfinity (LLC).

The “Quality of Life” prize of the Dalle Molle Foundation is awarded to research projects of general interest, innovation and high scientific quality, which aim to improve the quality of life through the use of new technologies.

The main objective of the project is to develop an integrated solution capable of supporting older adults in managing their health, which is at risk of deterioration associated with the ageing process. The system will provide a personalised environment in which key aspects of the user’s health can be supported by specialised AAL services and applications. This package will allow an intelligent selection of services to meet the current needs of the end user. These services will range from supporting the user in health prevention and in discovering symptoms of increased risk of deterioration to supporting living with a chronic disease.
