Director of PSNC appointed to the AMU Economic Council

The Rector of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan – Professor Bogumiła Kaniewska handed in the appointments to the members of the Economic Council of the University. The Council consists of well-known personalities of economic life of Wielkopolska region and entire Poland. Among the appointed was the Director of Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center – Cezary Mazurek, PhD.

The Economic Council is an advisory body to the rector, which will support the largest university in Poznan in the areas of cooperation with the business environment, scientific research and joint projects. The Council’s chairman will be Prof. Michał Banaszak – the Vice-Rector for digitization and cooperation with the industry. According to the Vice-Rector, the Council will support the University in the organisation of apprenticeshipas and internships for students and doctoral students, as well as assist in the creation of new fields of study for the industry. The reason for establishing the Council was the desire to strengthen cooperation with the economic environment – adds Prof. Banaszak.

Appointments to the Council were granted to:

  • Magdalena Hilszer – Director of the Regional Office of the Polish Agency for Development and Entrepreneurship in Poznan,
  • Małgorzata Korytowska – medical doctor, president of Medikor (LLC),
  • Andrzej Malinowski – President of the Employers of the Republic of Poland,
  • Cezary Mazurek, PhD – Director of Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center (PSNC),
  • Dariusz Michalak, PhD – Vice-President of the Management Board responsible for R&D, Solaris Bus & Coach (LLC),
  • Maciej Nowakowski – Director of Support for Geological Works, Geology and Exploitation Division, Polish Oil and Gas Mining,
  • Wojciech Pawłowski – President of the Management Board of VRP (LLC),
  • Adam Ros – Samsung VP, R&D Strategy, Samsung Elektronics.
