Chinese Shenzhen has been a partner city of the capital of Wielkopolska since 1993. Last Thursday (March 26, 2020), a videoconference between the Shenzhen hospital and specialists from the Jozef Strus hospital in Poznan was organized. The connection from Poland was technically supported by PSNC.

Together with the Board of Education in Poznań, we invite you to a webinar on 25 March 2020 at 12:15 p.m. on the implementation of the Regulation of the Minister of National Education of 20 March 2020. This legal act of 20 March 2020 concerns special solutions in the period of temporary limitation of the functioning of the units of the educational system in connection with preventing, counteracting and combating COVID-19.

At Friday’s press conference, the Director of the Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Professor Marek Figlerowicz informed that due to the continuing epidemiological threat and the need to extend the diagnosis of coronavirus infections, the Institute decided to support the Sanitary and Epidemiological Station in Poznań with its resources. The Poznań scientists are working on their test for the virus.

This is the second event in the last few days co-organised by PSNC, which aims to support the society in the face of the coronavirus threat. Today, we invite you to partcipate in a live broadcast of “The Rosary with Archbishop Stanislaw Gądecki” from the private chapel of the Bishops’ Residence in Ostrów Tumski.

In order to counteract the epidemiological threat caused by the coronavirus, one of the theater performance was presented to a wider audience. It was possible thanks to the cooperation of the Teatr Nowy in Poznań with PSNC, which made a direct broadcast of the show “Stan podgorączkowy” on the Internet.

On February 26 and 27, 2020, in Geneva, a meeting of the OpenQKD project partners related to Quantum Key Distribution technology was held. Piotr Rydlichowski from PSNC’s Network and Service Infrastructure Department took part in the event.

The implementation of innovative ideas in the teaching process using innovative technologies, programs, devices and concepts – these are the main issues of the 11th edition of the “Better Education” conference. PSNC was the event’s partner.

On February 18, 2020, the Faculty of Physics of the University of Warsaw will host a conference inaugurating the NLPQT project – National Laboratory of Photonics and Quantum Technologies. PSNC is part of the Consortium working on the project.

On Tuesday, February 11th this year in the Wielkopolska Voivodship Office during the conference “Children and youth online. Functioning and counteracting threats”, the acts of appointment to the Wielkopolska Team for Child and Youth Safety took place. The appointment was also handed to Dr Cezary Mazurek, Director of PSNC.

On January 31, 2020, a workshop was held at PSNC as part of the DEMETER project. The DEMETER project is a large-scale pilot implementation of interoperable platforms for intelligent farming based on IoT. As part of the project, 20 pilot projects will be implemented in 18 European countries showing the benefits of the use od innovative interoperable solutions.

A three-day meeting (14-16 January 2020) summarizing the Superheroes 4 Science project was held in the Slovak capital, Bratislava. The project, assuming the popularization of broadly understood issues related to HPC among young people, was attended by representatives of four institutions representing the Visegrad Group countries.

On January 15, 2020, the Poznań Cathedral will host a concert of the chamber orchestra co-organized by PSNC under the direction of Yaroslav Shemet on the 100th anniversary of the birth of John Paul II. The event is organized as part of the 23rd Day of Judaism.
