PIONIER Research & Classroom workshops during the 11th Conference “Better Education”
The implementation of innovative ideas in the teaching process using innovative technologies, programs, devices and concepts – these are the main issues of the 11th edition of the “Better Education” conference, which last weekend (14-15.02.2020) was hosted at the Center for Research and Development of Modern Technologies in Grzymisławice. PSNC was the event’s partner.
The aim of the conference is the promotion and the practical use of information and communication technologies, to indicate the need for media education in educational processes, and to implement programming skills among primary school students and at other educational stages. The leading theme was the search and implementation of engaging methods of working with students in formal education. Both in the subject of lectures and debates, the main topic were considerations on how to introduce to formal education work methods involving students identical or related to STEAM and Design Thinking. What can help the school and what hinders its activities in this direction.

The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of National Education, research centers, university professors, managerial staff implementing modern solutions for transferring knowledge to students, as well as teachers of various subjects for which practical lessons and workshops were organized giving an overview of new technologies accompanying the education process. They were presented by leading scientific institutes and practitioners.

During the conference, specialists from the PSNC Innovative Education Laboratory conducted workshops in which they demonstrated several selected applications created as part of PIONIER Research and Classroom.
