Workshop of DEMETER project

Workshop of DEMETER project
On January 31, 2020, a workshop was held at PSNC as part of the DEMETER project. The DEMETER project is a large-scale pilot implementation of interoperable platforms for intelligent farming based on IoT. As part of the project, 20 pilot projects will be implemented in 18 European countries showing the benefits of the use od innovative interoperable solutions.
The workshop was devoted to the discussion of the pilot assumptions regarding optimization of pollination in beekeeping and analyzing the needs of target user groups. The purpose of the pilot is to integrate decision support systems for farmers, farm management and apiary management to protect bees and optimize pollination of crops.

The workshop was attended by beekeepers, farmers and a technical team carrying out the pilot. As part of the pilot, the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center works closely with the Wielkopolska Agricultural Advisory Center in Poznan and the Polish sensor supplier for the protection of hives named ControlBee.
