The illuMINEation project has just passed the halfway point and entered an advanced stage of development of digital services for the mining industry. This modern platform has developed interesting use cases, such as smart sensors and the use of drones inside mine galleries. The results of the work are presented in the latest issue of the project newsletter.
illuMINEation is a multi-level distributed IIoT platform dedicated to the European mining industry, based on the use of data analytics and a new type of technology, in particular the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center, as a consortium member, is participating in the work on the IIoT platform, developing the cloud services, in cooperation with the entire sequence of lower layer communication.

Announcement of the new map of NATO Defence Innovation Accelerators under the DIANA programme

On 14 March 2024, a new map of test and accelerator areas under the NATO's Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) programme was announced. The PSNC AerospaceLab in Kąkolewo is one of dozens of locations already selected in the North Atlantic Alliance for test centres (DIANA Test Centres). A new Polish contribution to the programme is the AGH University of Krakow, which together with the Krakow Technology Park will jointly run a branch of the NATO Defence Innovation Accelerator (Krakow DIANA Accelerator).
