HIDALGO2 and TEXTAROSSA projects also enjoyed some popularity during SC23. Weather simulations and methods of acquiring and processing data connected with them, as well as tackling climate change issues were in the centre of attention of many guests.
Among those who visited our booth, there were representatives of USGS (United States Geological Survey) – an institution which publicly shares database used in HIDALGO2. Conference participants were interested both in the equipment and tools used of pre-exascale and exascale calculations in TEXTAROSSA. The terms ‘mixed precision’ and ‘FPGA accelerators’ were discussed at many SC23 booths. Our participation in SC23 boosted popularity of those projects, with a special focus on the US market.

The HPC data storage system at the Poznan Supercomputing and Networking Center has again been highly ranked in the prestigious IO500 competition held during the ISC High Performance 2024 conference. The system took 8th place in the '10 Node Production List' category, in which it was listed for the first time, and 14th place in the 'Production List' category, in which the PSNC system has been present since 2023.
